The Highlands neighborhood in Northwest Denver is an example of a neighborhood "done right".

Located in Northwest Denver, Highlands has been a very popular destination for quite a while now.  It's easy to see why - great architecture and a bustling shopping and entertainment scene, all located close to downtown Denver.  The views are incredible - the Rocky Mountains to the west, and a view of Downtown Denver and the Central Platte Valley to the east.

The center of activity is located at 32nd and Lowell Street, and is known as Highlands Square.  It features wonderful local restaurants, great shopping, art galleries, book stores, and more.  If that isn't enough, there are also unique commercial districts at 33rd and Tejon, and on 32nd Street, between Zuni and Clayton Streets, where you can find locally owned retailers, restaurants, and specialty foods.

If you enjoy architecture, you will have a lot to see in The Highlands.  Beautiful Victorian homes and Classic Bungalows and Tudors are located throughout the neighborhood.  Also, don't miss the many striking churches and Potter's Row, an historic district of renovated Victorian homes between 32nd and 34th on Bryant Street.

The residents of the Highlands are a happy and friendly bunch.  Especially if they were smart enough to recognize this gold mine ten or fifteen years ago.  The run-down dark streets of the early 1990's have transformed into a beautiful neighborhood and a true "urban experience".

On the eastern side of the neighborhood, known as LoHi (Lower Highlands), another renaissance is taking place.  Developers are taking advantage of the sweeping downtown views, and some beautiful modern lofts are taking shape.  If a loft or condominium is your preference, this is an excellent LoDo alternative - three convenient pedestrian bridges connect the Highlands to Downtown Denver.

If you are considering buying or selling a home in The Highlands, give us a call.  We have spent a great deal of time working and getting to know this incredible neighborhood, and would love to help you make it yours.
